Survived Sepsis - Slow Speed Ahead for Now
This past Sunday, I experienced the worst lightheadedness I have ever felt. I was also confused, had slurred speech, was short of breath, and my heart was racing.
The EMS initially told me I had the flu — but this was unlike any flu I had ever experienced. What made it even more alarming was that I had felt completely fine earlier in the day.
After a few hours at the hospital, the doctor told me I was fighting a serious infection. I later learned that what I was experiencing was sepsis — a life-threatening condition that can be fatal if not treated promptly. I'm grateful that I trusted my instincts and insisted on going to the hospital, even when the EMS suggested otherwise.
Sepsis has left both my body and my mind in a weakened state. Recovery is unpredictable and can take anywhere from a month to, in some cases, the rest of one's life.
I will still be working on finding new clients and continuing to develop and promote FearlessCMS. For now, though, I'll be moving at a slower pace, and I appreciate your understanding and support during my recovery.
